Green Star Product review and energy efficiency at ARBS Exhibition

Ductware exhibited at the recent ARBS show held in Sydney in April which was visited by 7163 from around Australia and 504 International visitors.

We launched the Cornermatic CornerTite – this corner fits tighter into the flange and internal lip, thereby producing a more rigid duct. The response to the new corner was very positive and we received many new leads. We were also privileged to have David Daw, a 35 year veteran of the HVAC Industry in the USA and Inventor of the Cornermatic Corner and Cornermatic Cadet Machine on our stand.

 

Providing ‘Productivity solutions with green results’ is a key to our business, and so it was for the 55.7% of attendees interested in energy efficiency. Ductware offers innovative solutions that add real value by improving productivity, saving time and money whilst also offering pragmatic, cost-neutral, green building options.

 

It was a pleasure to have on the stand Tony Plantz – National Sales Manager of Ductmate Industries. Ductmate have been pioneers since the early 70s of Green Energy products for the HVAC industry in the USA. Tony answered questions mainly focused on Green Energy and its relationship with similar LEED initiatives in the USA.

 

Particularly well received was our Green Star Rating Product Review Summary that details which products attract Green Star benefits. Our products deliver considerable HVAC efficiency gains by reducing leaks, preserving indoor air quality (IAQ) and improving the durability of the ductwork.

 

Also on show was our Prorail – turning vane and rail system, Flexible duct connectors, Clutcher – cable suspension system for ducting, Proguard (protects your ductwork from dust, dirt in transit to site,) and “The Original” Ductmate Flange – with mastic in the flange pocket.

 

EverSeal is now available in Australia. It features low brush drag & spreadability, it reduces labour cost, has zero VOC content and it's applicable Green Star Credits are; IEQ-7, IEQ-8, IEQ-10. It’s a little thicker in consistency than our very popular PROseal duct sealant.

 

The opportunity to have Steve Vossen from Ductcap assisting on the stand was a great benefit for Ductware. Increasingly Mechanical Engineering and IAQ specifications call for unfinished ductwork to be covered. The Ductcap is a reusable plastic bag with an elastic band sewn on the open end. This product blocks dust, moisture and construction debris and is very quick and easy to install.
